APPIANO GENTILE – Captain Javier Zanetti, Marco Materazzi, Adriano, Julio Cesar, Maicon and Amantino Mancini were the Nerazzurri models for today’s presentation of the new Nike kits for the 2008/09 season.

Nike presented a personalised shirt to José Mourinho, who commented: “The kit is beautiful, but it will only be beautiful if it’s a winner. It’s up to us now. We have made a strong start to our work and we will continue to do so in Brunico in the coming days.

“We play our first two friendlies there but I don’t like the term ‘friendlies’ very much. These are two matches we want to win to build a winning season.”

Their new kits use a template similar to that of Portsmouth’s 2008-09 home kit. After years of success in rugby kits, New Zealand based Canterbury is making major inroads in the world of football attire. They’re also the kit supplier of La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna.
