Southend United Football Club is an English football team based at Roots Hall Stadium in Prittlewell, in the Borough of Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and play in the Football League One. They reached the League One playoff’s last season via their 6th place league finish.

Southend United’s new away kit went down a storm at this years annual Meet the Blues Day event.

The Blue Belles unveiled the new look red away strip in front of thousands of supporters at Boots and Laces training ground.

Following the release of the popular home kit at the start of the month, fans now know what United will be wearing both home and away.

Another stylish Nike shirt, this seasons red kit has a whole host of new touches. White panelling down the side of the kit is complimented by white shoulders, along with a stylish looking low collar.

Southend’s Nike home kit for the 2008-09 season was unveiled on June 30th, 2008. The shirt features several shades of blue this season in a move away from the plain navy. It also features Nike’s Dri-Fit mesh panelling down each side to maximise ventilation and moves moisture rapidly away from the body.
