Video: Houston Dynamo 2 – Columbus Crew 0 (Major League Soccer)
HOUSTON — It looks like SuperLiga 2008 has revived the defending Major League Soccer champions.
In their first league home match in more than a month, the Houston Dynamo, who have earned a spot in the SuperLiga 2008 final, scored two first-half goals and cruised to a 2-0 win against the Columbus Crew at Robertson Stadium Saturday night.
With the game-time temperature hovering around 100 degrees, Houston got goals from Brad Davis and Brian Ching and extended their winning streak to four matches in all competitions.
The victory puts the Dynamo all alone in second place in the Western Conference, just one point behind Real Salt Lake with one match in hand.
Houston avenged an early-season loss to the Crew, when the Dynamo went to Columbus and lost 1-0 on an Alejandro Moreno goal on April 26.
