We know it gets hot in Italy in the summertime. As soccer players, we know that after a full 90 of running, you just want to disrobe as soon as possible after the game. But the players of the Italian Serie A have taken soccer striptease to a new level. Based on this video obtained from seriea.tv, David Sergio Trezeguet is now the raining king of the Serie A Strippers. No wonder, il calcio is so popular with female fans in the Boot.

Udinese remained on top of Serie A as forward Alexis Sanchez unleashed an unstoppable drive from just outside the area. Fabio Quagliarella then scored from an improbable angle to keep Udinese riding high.

An own goal by Andrea Mantovani gave the SS Lazio victory in wet conditions and ended their three-game winless streak.

Sergio Pellissier had put the host ahead with a superb angled drive with his left foot on 11 minutes but Lazio striker Goran Pandev struck from close range soon after.

Striker German Denis bagged an easy hat-trick as a resurgent Napoli side continued their amazing start to the season.

The Argentine opened the scoring on eight minutes and then tapped in his second after more good interplay between Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik.

A third following a second half counter attack wrapped up the win, with Napoli fans already celebrating after a ban on the use of a section of their stadium ran out before kickoff.

In San Salvador Tuesday night, the Houston Dynamo were three minutes from becoming the first Major League Soccer team to win on the road in the CONCACAF Champions League.

But Luis Angel Firpo rallied for a 1-1 draw on a goal by Fernando Leguizamon after Stuart Holden, who wore the captain’s armband, put Dynamo in front on 16 minutes.

Dynamo had the chance to move into sole possession of second place in Group B, one point behind Mexican side Pumas UNAM, which has already booked its passage into the knockout stages. Instead, Houston, which remains unbeaten in three road matches in the inaugural competition, is still in third place with six points, two points behind Luis Angel Firpo.

The final match of the group stage is Nov. 26, three days after MLS Cup, when Dynamo plays host to Luis Angel Firpo at Robertson Stadium. Houston needs a win to advance.

Freddie Ljungberg Seattle Sounders FC Official Presentation

Seattle Sounders FC has signed midfielder Freddie Ljungberg to a multi-year contract. Ljungberg played for Arsenal and West Ham during the last 10 seasons of the English Premier League. During his stint with Arsenal, Ljungberg was an integral part of the team that went unbeaten for a record 49 games. He also served as captain of Sweden during this past summer’s UEFA European Championships.

The Sounders have also signed Olympia native and former US National team goalkeeper Kasey Keller, French forward Sebastien Le Toux and Gambian midfielder Sanna Nyassi for their inaugural season.

In an interview with soundersfc.com Ljungberg said “Fortunately, I had many opportunities and offers from around Europe and the rest of the world during the last few months, including Seattle to play in MLS. After thoughtful considerations I decided this opportunity with Seattle was the right one for me. Seattle is a great city. I know this part of the world quite well. The club itself has such great ambition and the fans over here are very passionate about their team. I am very excited about the potential of the club and cannot wait to start the new season in 2009.”
