Video: Gamba Osaka 3 – Adelaide United 0 (AFC Champions League Final First Leg)
TOKYO – Japanese giants Gamba Osaka brushed past Australian A-League side Adelaide United of 3-0 in the first leg of the Asian Champions League final today.
Brazilian striker Lucas put the Gamba in front in the 37th minute as he sprung Adelaide United’s offside trap before finding the net with a deflected shot.

Japan international Yasuhito Endo doubled Gamba’s lead two minutes before halftime as he latched on to a clever pass from Lucas to score with a clinical left-foot drive.
This was followed by midfielder Michihiro Yasuda’s volley a third in the 68th minute.
The second leg takes place on Nov. 12.
Gamba Osaka’s win puts them in touching distance of their first Asian Champions League title and a place in December’s lucrative FIFA Club World Cup. A game against UEFA Champions League holders Manchester United is a possibility in the Club World Cup.
