Spanish starlet Pedro’s brace, Thierry Henry’s first goal of the season and Lionel Messi’s late penalty ensured FC Barcelona top spot in the Spanish La Liga for another week as they defeated Real Mallorca 4-2 at the Nou Camp on Saturday.
Barca manager Pep Guardiola fielded a new look side following draws against Osasuna and Rubin Kazan in his team’s last two outings. Regular starting midfielders Xavi and Andres Iniesta and Argentina forward Lionel Messi all began the game on the substitutes’ bench.
